Register http://sloanconsortium.org/webinar_sciethics_apr11 Description A National Science Foundation funded project designed to create virtual simulations with a science and ethics focus. Undergraduate and graduate students will be able to experience real-world situations in the safety of a virtual environment. SciEthics Interactive is an experiential activity for science students created for the virtual world. Graduate and undergraduate science students are able to take the role of a scientist: collecting data, analyzing that data, and practicing ethical decision-making. This National Science Foundation funded project is near completion of the first simulation, with a focus on genetically modified fish. This webinar will explore the research behind the virtual simulation, the development process, and the final product. Participants with virtual viewers (such as Hippo and Imprudence) will be able to enter the world to join in on a virtual tour. Comments are closed.
