I will be participating in a STEM in Virtual Worlds panel moderated by my graduate research assistant. My undergraduate students will be displaying their innovative creations in the poster session. I presented with James Juarez from National University on "“Game Design and Virtual Worlds for STEM+ Learning Online.” The session was broadcasted to virtual participants from all over the world, and the feedback was excellent. The keynote speaker, Bryan Alexander from the National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education, had a very interesting take on the future of educational technology.
The development of my National Science Foundation-funded project is mid-way through completion of the first simulation. We have purchased our own virtual world through Reaction Grid and the team is working on the scripts for the interactions. Check out our new website at http://www.sciethicsinteractive.com/.
